Water

The City of Fayetteville Water Department supplies over 10 million gallons of clean drinking water per day to communities in Northwest Arkansas. The water is provided by nearby Beaver Lake and is provided to over 100,000 area residents per year.

Wastewater

The City of Fayetteville's wastewater treatment plant safely recycles over 12 million gallons of wasterwater per day back into the water environment of Northwest Arkansas. The system operates with 33 sewer lift stations throughout the Fayetteville area. The City is presently engaged in upgrading and improving the entire wasterwater collection and treatment system and leading the way in protecting and enhancing the quality of life in Northwest Arkansas.

Electric Supply

Ozark Electric Cooperative Corporation

Ozark Electric Cooperative Corporation (OECC) has been servicing Northwest Arkansas with electric power since 1938. It serves more than 62,000 customers in parts of Benton, Crawford, Franklin, Madison, and Washington counties in Arkansas, and Adair, Cherokee, Delaware and Sequoyah counties in Oklahoma.

Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO)

SWEPCO serves 113,500 customers in Arkansas, along with 180,000 in Northwest Louisiana and 180,000 in East and North Texas for a total of more than 473,500 customers. SWEPCO is a part of the American Electric Power (AEP) system. AEP is one of the largest electric utilities in the United States, delivering electricity to more than 5 million customers in 11 states. AEP also ranks among the nation's largest generators of electricity, owning nearly 38,000 megawatts of generating capacity in the US.

Gas Supply

Arkansas Western Gas (AWG)

Arkansas Western Gas has over 75 years of history in Arkansas and it was incorporated in 1929 to provide natural gas utility service to Northwest Arkansas. AWG has 4 local offices in 4 primary service areas. AWG is now a SourceGas Company.

Trash Disposal

The City of Fayetteville Solid Waste and Recycling Division provides for the collection of commercial trash and recycling within the City. No person, except for a duly authorized agent or city employee, shall empty garbage or trash receptables, or transport garbage or trash on the streets or public thoroughfares of the City, without a written contract with the city. The customer rents the receptacles from the City.
