The Washington County Fair offers the Agricultural Youth of Washington County the opportunity to exhibit their 4-H and FFA sponsored Livestock projects to the public in a competitive environment. The Fair then sponsors a Premium Only Livestock Auction for the best projects in each division, in which, businesses and individuals interested in encouraging young people to stay involved in agriculture, are allowed to "purchase the animals". The youth are allowed to keep their projects to exhibit at State and Regional Fairs or to add to their own herds at home, and use the money to purchase next year's project, pay feed bills, or add to their savings account.
Dinner will be served at 5:15 p.m. and the Premium Sale begins at 6:30 p.m.
For more information or to attend, please contact Cheryl West at 479.846.3907.
